You should be able to work around the error using either of
'svn-buildpackage --svn-ignore-new' or 'svn-buildpackage --svn-dont-clean'.

Meh, probably; it's there because it's part of the upstream tarball, though
- if the same problem is present in the next upstream release, we'll end up
with a messy merge to sort out :(
