Package: samba
Version: 2:3.6.0~pre3-1
--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Please see following line in /var/log/samba/log.nmbd:
[2011/05/13 06:32:05, 0] lib/util_sock.c:1476(create_pipe_sock)
error creating socket directory /var/locks/.nmbd: No such file or
directory
Daemon should write into directory /var/lock instead:
# dpkg -S /var/lock
base-files: /var/lock
Temporary workaround
ln -s /var/lock /var/locks
solves it on my machine.
Greetings, Tom
