If I'm correct, we would not be droppign plaintext support but just
support to enable it through debconf. Which wouldn't be a big loss
nowadays, imho. People who still would like to use plaintext passwords
can still do it by using the right setting in a manually crafted
smb.conf

I'd be for dropping that debconf complexity.
