Aha. That's why it is so tight. Even the *header* file should match.
Okay, it makes sense. Now once ldb is built from the samba sources
it should not be a problem anymore.

Are there any maybe distant-future plans to "untie" this stuff from
samba somehow? like, tdb lives its own life, it might god into
third_party/ one day maybe ;))

Well, it *is* published as a public library, and whole thing in
the build procedure was about just this: so it builds as a proper
public library with the right version everywhere.
So I'm not sure what do you mean here..
