I don't have a better solution for libsdl1.2. Hopefully for SDL2 regenerating
the autoconf foo doesn't pose any problems.

One thing we could try for 1.2 is to not regenerate the step that fails.
Something like AUTOCONF=true dh_autoreconf or AUTOMAKE=true dh_autoreconf.
