libsdl-sge is an extension for SDL 1.2, which is unmaintained upstream.
It seems quite likely that libsdl-sge is dead upstream as well.
There is no direct replacement that I am aware of, but SDL 2's "render"
API seems vaguely similar.
libsdl-sge seems to include SDL 1.2 objects in its API/ABI, so it will
not be possible to convert it to SDL 2 without breaking API/ABI. As a
result, if there is a version or replacement that targets SDL 2, it should
probably be packaged separately, which is why I'm marking this bug as
"won't fix".
There are only two packages in Debian that depend on libsdl-sge:
supertransball2 depends on it directly, and ruby-sdl presumably provides
a Ruby language binding for it.
