I think the above analysis is correct. Then the "bug" should be
assigned to screen, then merged, then marked as "wontfix" because the
solution is making screen setuid root, which will not happen (it used
to be setuid root up to 3.9.4-1 but was changed to setgid utmp after
bugs 43909 and 43931)


On the shadow package side, I tend to believe in Nicolas analysis and
see nothing we could do about this.

Hence doing the appropriate bug manipulations. Screen package
maintainer, please object if you disagree. You're also entitled to
close both bug reports rather than just mark them wontfix, IMHO.
