[Pkg-shadow-devel] build system and debian/rules discussion

After reading a few of the latest posts on Planet Debian, I'm not sure
that migrating shadow to cdbs would actually be a good idea at this
point in time. No, I don't feel like I've wasted my time; it was in fact
an excellent experience for me. However, while using the system
certainly simplifies things for those who know it, it obviously
complicates things for others. Plus, with the research that madduck is
going to be doing, putting effort into migrating to something ill-liked
for the sake of convenience seems like a Bad Idea.
I propose migrating the debhelper improvements that I made (dh_install,
etc.) to the current debian/rules and maybe discussing any other
improvements that can be made.
At any rate, I'm not doing anything for a couple of weeks due to lack of
time. I'd just like to discuss options, especially as I'm a little
behind on recent changes since 4.0.12 hit unstable.
Cheers,
Christine
