As Nicolas François pointed, the culprit here is the
467_useradd_-r_LSB patch I provided but which has not been applied
upstream yet.
This bug then becomes Debian specific...
I turn its severity to "serious" to prevent passwd to enter testing as
is....
Tagging as pending as well, because Nicolas commited a fix.
Thanks again to Dalibor for pointing this nasty bug which is
definitely *not* a feature.
