I could reproduce it and will fix it in the next upstream release.
I don't think it deserve an intermediate Debian release.


It happens while reporting to syslog that the user returned to its
original group.
Except for the missing syslog entry, it should be harmless.

You can get rid of the segfault warning by disabling SYSLOG_SG_ENAB in
/etc/login.defs (but you will have no report to syslog anyway).
