Is UseSessReg documented anywhere? Here is the content of kdm.options:

> no-ignore-nologin
> no-restart-on-upgrade

"This" cannot be fixed this way, but lastlog does become aware of logins 
through kdm after adding that line.

This bug is about more than kdm, and I have no ground to argue that kdm 
is at fault here, unless I'm missing some part of policy. The only 
lastlog-related part I can see quickly is 
http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-customized-programs.html#s11.3 which 
does not mandate interaction with lastlog.
