Yeah, that looked fine to me.  Could you add debian/changelog entries
(with the distribution set to UNRELEASED) so that we don't forget to note
the change when the next upload is done?

I'll add it to my list and try to get to this soon.

You have to use debian/rules get-orig-source to get the tarball and repack
it, and then use git-import-orig to do the import (after installing
pristine-tar).
