I agree, that's another plus besides the tags.  Although the tags are
not on the main line of development, but "hanging off" on separate
"tagging" commits, which is somewhat scary.  Is that an SVN thing?
For example, I put my bookkeeping 2.0.0 tag on c2ea002, but the
semi-official 2.0.0 tag is on b341424, which is the same content but
also a single-commit departure from the main line of development...

Ugh, that's bad.  I also submitted pull requests there for easy review.
