The pristine-tar branch is inaccurate in the sense that the contained
tarball isn't pristine from upstream. I don't think the deviation is
harmful, but it's pretty hard to tell by eyeballing the file lists.

You already fixed the build failure (thanks!), so I dropped it. But
I've proposed a bunch of other smallish changes in the wferi branch of
the repo. Please review as convenient; they mostly silence low severty
Lintian tags.
