[Pkg-systemd-maintainers] Switching the git repository to git-buildpackage

Hi,

Currently, we use gitpkg, which Tollef prefers over git-buildpackage.

Myself, I have been frustrated with gitpkg numerous times, but that’s
mostly because of a lack of experience with it, I think.

Still, even though I can somewhat manage to work with gitpkg now, I
think it’d be a good idea to switch to git-buildpackage.

In my subjective experience, _a lot_ of packages use git-buildpackage
whereas systemd is the only package I know that uses gitpkg. A quick
look at the popcon numbers (> 2000 installations of git-buildpackage, >
250 installations of gitpkg) seem to indicate the same trend.

I think there is a lot of value in using the more common solution and
keeping the barriers to contribution very low, especially now that
systemd will become the default init system.

Tollef, Michael, what do you think? May I go ahead and come up with a
plan to migrate the git repository to git-buildpackage in time for the
208 upload?

Michael
