Hi systemd maintainers,
I believe so far there have been no submissions for a systemd talk for
DebConf15. The CfP closes today/tomorrow (Monday 23:59 UTC is the
offical date).
I think after all the fuss over the last year, it might be a good idea
to (i) outline how the sky has not fallen with systemd-in-jessie, (ii)
what issues there were/are in jessie, if any, (iii) what is new in
unstable WRT Debian and (iv) what is upcoming in upstream and how you
plan to integrate it into Debian. Possibly also touching base with
containers and how systemd-container-integration is/will be/could be
implemented in Debian would be interesting here I believe.
Alternatively (or additionally), a "systemd-for-sysadmins-on-Debian"
talk (and/or "systemd of upstart/sysvinit admins") might also be well
received, i.e. some kind of tutorial how usual system administration
tasks are performed with systemd and how sysadmins can exploit advanced
systemd features to make their lives easier and/or their systems more
secure/faster/better (this would be a good Open Weekend topic cause it
would appeal to a more general audience). Then again, this talk might
not necessarily be given by a member of the systemd packagers team, but
any seasoned systemd user/Debian sysadmin.
Those two are just suggestions, of course, feel free to come up with
your own ideas! Hopefully you can send some proposal(s) before the
deadline.
Please note that we accept 20 minute talks this year, so even if you
think there is not enough content for a 45 minute presentation, you
could give a short one.
The submission process is documented here:

For the DebConf content team,
Michael
