Dear Maintainer(s),

Yesterday I uploaded sytemd/252~rc3 to unstable, and cryptsetup
autopkgtests have started failing. I tried to have a look, but these
tests are non-trivial so I got a bit lost, and would appreciate some
help.
We plan to release upstream on Monday, so if there's a real regression
I'd like to know to get it sorted ASAP.

It seems udevadm settle is failing in the custom init, but it's very
strange because there are several other udevadm settle calls before
this one which are working?

+ cp /init.preinst /target/init.preinst
+ chroot /target /bin/sh -eux /init.preinst
+ blkid -s UUID -o value /dev/vda5
+ cat
+ blkid -s UUID -o value /dev/vda2
+ cat
+ echo RESUME=none
+ rm -f /target/init.preinst
+ udevadm settle
Failed to add inotify watch for /run/udev: No such file or directory
+ echo ALERT! Couldn't setup system, dropping to a shell.
ALERT! Couldn't setup system, dropping to a shell.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks!

Kind regards,
