Bug#1077184: It really breaks my router

Hi,

This really breaks my system without notice.

I can understand that deprecated files can't stay forever, but I have 
net.ipv4.ip_forward=1 and net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding=1 in /etc/sysctl.conf

All my devices lost Internet after a reboot. I spent 2 hours finding the 
root cause.

Telling administrator to create a symlink might be a good idea. Please 
do it in a NEWS entry. This is really important.
