I'm sorry you have to deal with that kind of negativity from people who
are likely not even Debian users. Unfortunately Mastodon is not free of
social media toxicity - it just has a different flavour.

However every Debian admin I know sincerely appreciates your sustained efforts
on systemd in Debian, as I posted when I saw this news:

Leaving the cloud images aside for a moment, even on the desktop
systemd-resolved has been the _only_ DNS tool that actually works
reliably for complex DNS setups.

There's a blog post from Tailscale way back in 2021, explaining the
shortcomings of every other DNS solution, and why only systemd-resolved
actually handles complex requirements the right way:

If Trixie really ships without systemd-resolved it will be almost
unusable for Tailscale (and similar VPNs), DNS over TLS/HTTPS, and other
modern DNS configuration combinations common in 2025.
