I've resolved my problem by doing this:

# apt-get install libsystemd-shared=257.8-1~deb13u2
# apt-get install udev

I AM using sysvinit instead of systemd. Thankfully enough, the init
script was still present in my system.

Enabled the script, rebooted and my USB devices work now.

Best regards,
Dario Susman
