[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Bug#436262: Double disk spin down on shut down/hibernate

Michael Sedkowski sedmich at gmail.com
Mon Aug 6 16:48:43 UTC 2007

Package: sysvinit
Version: 2.86.ds1-38.1

During shut down or suspend to disk, the hdd is halted twice: once on
the "Will now halt" message, then turned on again and powered down with
the computer itself.
This issue is present in all three branches: Etch, Lenny and Sid with
Debian [versions supplied with the respective branch] or self made
kernels.
I own a HP NX6310 laptop with the newest bios available F.0D

Regards
Michael
