[Pkg-sysvinit-devel] Bug 348172 (sata spindown problems) still existing?

Hi,
Does really nobody on this list has an idea what it could mean, that I
still get such error messages, even if the bug is said to be fixed in
sysvinit since a very long time (see below)?
I researched a bit further, and found that info:

So the problem seems not to be bound to the fact that I use that newer
kernel in Etch.
The solution proposed here, namely removing the "-h" option, seems not
clear to me - removing it seems, when reading the man pages of halt to
force exactly the contrary, _not_ spinning down disks before halting.
It looks like all informations that are available on the net seem not
very clear.
Thanks in advance for any hints, especially if and how I risk destroying
my hard disk, and how I can prevent that.
