AFAICS none of the changes change this, so the failure modes documented
in these bug reports still apply.

The bug reports document *most* of this, probably not the amount of swap
but the d-i default is 2x ram.

This continual churn is unfortunate, especially since a lot of users
have been told how to fix their system by disabling the tmpfs in rcS.
