Hi,

In the licensing for this, we see that compat/getopt.c uses the BSD-4-Clause-UC license,
including the problematic "advertising" clause in all it's glory. Is there any way
this file can be excluded, or is there some alternative licensing which is not expressed
in the file itself which is documented somewhere?

Also, trivially, the old MIT license is identified as 'Expat-old' rather than 'MIT-old'.
This likely arises from some confusion that 'Expat' is a synonym for 'MIT', rather than
a straightforward reference to the newer version of the MIT license. The old MIT
license should just be referenced as 'MIT-old'.

Thanks!
