[Pkg-tigervnc-devel] Bug#958380: tigervnc-viewer: Fullscreen VNC disables MATE menu

   * What led up to the situation?

Installed tigervnc-viewer to remotely control a Raspberry Pi.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Initially disable full-screen over all monitors. Only performed once.

1. View Raspberry Pi desktop using tigervnc-viewer.
2. Press F8 to get context menu.
3. Select "Options"
4. In "screen" tab, de-selected the "Enable full-screen mode over all monitors
option"
   (I have multiple displays & only wanted the VNC view on one of them)
5. Select "OK"

Use VNC viewer.
1. View Raspberry Pi desktop using tigervnc-viewer.
2. Press F8 to get context menu.
3. Select full-screen - VNC viewer goes into full-screen mode.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The "Applications", "Places" & "System" menus on my main desktop no longer
function.
When clicked they are outlined and look similar to buttons.
(I have just discovered that selecting any window on my desktop, or simply
clicking the desktop, restores the expected functionality to the menus - making
this much more of an annoyance than a bug.)

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

"Applications", "Places" & "System" menus should function as normal.
