It should have been "marco --replace &". Sorry. With the "&" at the  
end, you get your prompt back.

Urgh, we may have to clone this bug for compiz then, too.

Another question: do the system tray applets work while menus are stuck?

Can you report back, what version of marco you are running? Is there  
any chance to test this on different setups (e.g. VNC into your laptop  
/ your desktop / etc.)?

What VNC server technology do you use on your pi? x11vnc? This is  
definitely not a vncviewer issue, but you get stuck on the VNC server  
side somewhere.
