[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#755770: network-manager: vanishing /dev/ppp

After one of the recent upgrades VPN stopped working for the following
reasons

Jul 23 08:03:49 cauda pppd[6474]: Plugin /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.6/nm-pptp-pppd-plugin.so loaded.
Jul 23 08:03:49 cauda pppd[6474]: Couldn't open the /dev/ppp device: No such file or directory
Jul 23 08:03:49 cauda pppd[6474]: You need to create the /dev/ppp device node by
executing the following command as root:
	mknod /dev/ppp c 108 0

When I create the node by hand, VPN starts working but only to the next
reboot. The side effect is that clicking on VPN ... OFF has no effect, I
reboot to disconnect (I guess there is a simple way, bu I haven't found
it).
