Is this about nm-applet or nm-connection-editor?

You mention nm-applet here but filed it against nm-connection-editor.

Which desktop environment are you using?
Which component provides the org.freedesktop.Secrets API? Use 
d-feet/d-spy to find out.

Why was gnome-keyring not running? It is D-Bus activated, so started on 
demand. Have you manually edited something which would prevent the start 
of gnome-keyring?
