Well, HDTV works here even without XvMC, but with a very high
CPU-Load (around 85% on a Athlon XP 3200+, GeForce 6600GT).

With working XvMC it should be possible to reduce the load to
under 15% on my setup.

I allready tried to get XvMC support on my machine about 2 months ago,
but i gave up after some time.

=46rom what i read about it, the xxmc plugin is a vendor independant
method to get XvMC - it requires libXvMCW, which is some kind of
wrapper for the vendor specific XvMC libraries - so we should really
try to get a working xxmc plugin, instead of the old xvmc one.
