I notice that this is an SVN snapshot.

If upstream truly intend a different copyright and licensing info than
currently published (through SVN), but won't correct it until next
official release, then you can, I believe, do the following until that
happens:

Get upstream to write you an email confirming in detail their official
position, and include that email (preferrably GPG-signed, or at least
with complete headers intact) in debian/copyright.

I don't know if that's what debian-legal told as well, I only ever read
the above quoted part of the conversation.
