Actually `make install` doesn't have to generate a demo configuration file.
$(MAKE) samples is used to generate the demo configuration files, we don't to 
generate those, nor ship them in the final product, rather just in the demo 
config programme.
Perhaps we should have:
asterisk-config-demo
asterisk-config-minimum
Or something like that..
