Any plans to update Asterisk on Ubuntu

Hello,


	I'm currently running the Ubuntu Asterisk package which I
	believe is at 1:1.0.9.dfsg-1. Currently Asterisk is at 1.2.5.
	Is there a time frame when a new package of Asterisk will be
	released?
