This only affects the package asterisk-openh323. H323 pain. OTOH, on 1.2
you have asterisk-h323 back . And chan_ooh323c in the addons.

The h323 channels are half-broken anyway.

No other user but Asterisk. Consider it part of Asterisk.

Zaptel's interface to Asterisk (the zaptel kernel space to userspace and
libtonezone) was not broken in the change to 1.2, AFAIK. So the changes
to zaptel can be independently backported.

While Asterisk is not the only user of zaptel (yate can also use it), it
is the main user. If you're going to upgrade Asterisk you'll surely
upgrade zaptel as well.

Another point to note: does the 1.0.9 version include bristuff? Does the
1.2.1 version include bristuff?

But anyway, that's your call.
