Sure I'm interested. If we can settle for a date, I'll also be able to

asterisk has seen quite some updates from you already. This is a very
good gruntwork and maybe we can try to identify issues with our packages
which we still need to push towards upstream to make code more
portable/packaging more scalable.

I'd also be happy to tackle this auto-backporting issue with some
helping hands. Sure there is this great idea of having tags backported.
Technically that's feasible, but somewhat far from trivial. Yet, it's by
far easier to maintain and update than uploading to bpo. ;)
