asterisk-bristuff deprecation: what upgrade path ?

Hi,

With the (silly) deprecation of asterisk-bristuff, I'm left wondering
what's the proposed upgrade path for our users who actually rely on
the features that are only found in bristuff (like devstate, pickup
application, etc).

"none" is NOT an acceptable answer.
