I guess we'll have to do that unless we find out why upstream is so MIA
or where they eventually moved to. Has someone tried to contact them? I
remember there was rumors about a fork IIRC... Has anyone got more news
whether or not we can grab better code from there?

If there is no further development and nobody stepping up to fixing the
known issues in Debian (maybe going Debian native for now) we should
have it removed from the archive by all means. There is no point
sustaining this.
