What is the problem?

Your lack of access to our SVN tree and our distribution or your lack of
knowledge and Debian expertise to maintain such a package?

The former is easily solvable: I can grant you commit access and I and
several others can sponsor you the uploads.
I'm not volunteering, however, for the proper maintainance and
care-taking of the package.

So, unless you are, we'll have to find someone that wants to.
