I 'd be happy to help, butmostly know CDBS style packaging and (you are 
quite welcome to use and I'd appreciate that, but) I suspect you will be 
using the dh sequencer style.

I guess you are right.  A comment on the need for Github: Create an 
account at Debian Alioth and (if you haven't already) request membership 
of this team at Alioth: Then you have write access to our git area and 
can use that also for draft work.
