The alsa module has its uses. It can be handy to allow Asterisk to play
sounds to the system's speaker,

However in the common case it causes harm. Therefore in the common case
chan_alsa (as well as the other "console" channel drivers) should be
disabled. Eight disable them in the default configuration, or move them
to a different sub-package (sub-packages?).

Leaving this issue open for now.
