Some doubts that I have (bear with me, I've never contributed to Debian,
I'm only a long-time user).

For what suite you need help on bug fixing; "unstable", "oldstable",
other, all?

In https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/asterisk there are references to 3
open security issues in bookworm but there are no Debian packages
currently released for stable/bookworm. What that does that mean?

The mailing list is the only place to inquire for people_working/status
in some issues? Debian devs don't use some kind of issue tracker?

What kind of help do you require? Backport patches to "oldstable" for
fixes already made in recent versions? Other?

How to provide results? Post patches to Mailing list? Use Salsa?

BR,
José Gonçalves

P.S. I've only talked about backporting to bookworm because this thread
subject was about building for bookworm... but understood, this is a
forbidden subject here.
