okay, but then we should change the deb revision again just before the first 
real upload.

I hope so (& thinking about myself) ;-P

but it's not the question if someone is silly. If apt-get upgrade doesn't tell 
that there is an update available (because it's the same revision as already 
installed), then even the best debian guru might not notice that there is a 
new version available... or is it just me?

sure, but just before releasing it's early enough to increase the revision.

yeah, I know, but as long as every debian package is released with -1 or 
greater everything version smaller than 1 is good for testing and so on.

but if I am the only one that thinks that the revision should be increased 
before a real upload, then simply forget it. I can watch the versions I 
personally have installed on my systems, so I can live with it. :)
