Sounds good.

What about this setup?

* Use transitional zsh-beta for wheezy
* A few months after wheezy is released, add a warning to the jessie's
package that it will be removed
* Drop zsh-beta for jessie, possibly checking /etc/passwd in pre-rm

"Release goal" for jessie would be to not have zsh-beta any more.

That should be mitigated by the above.
