Got an answer this morning:

09:56:19 <jochensp> XTaran: same problem over here, previous answer in
	 	    here: "formorer: the sync is broken"

As of now, the Alioth accounts still don't seem to be synced to the
Unix accounts needed for Git access. I'll let you know if I notice any
change here. (Other teams are affected, too, e.g. the Debian Perl
Team).
