Package: zsh-static
Version: 5.8-7
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
I recently upgraded zsh-static:amd64 from 5.8-6+b2 to 5.8-7.
With version 5.8-7, /bin/zsh-static segfaults immediately upon execution. The previous 5.8-6+b2 version was fine.
Here is an example attempt to run zsh-static:
tensor(pts/3):~> /bin/zsh-static
zsh: segmentation fault /bin/zsh-static
tensor(pts/3):~> echo $?
139
A side effect of this is that any user relying on zsh-static as their login shell cannot login via ssh any more, since their shell immediately crashes.
