Well, funnily, while translating this new template, I missed the
concern raised by Manoj but, indeed, I agree with it. It may sound
very weird, especially in a situation where the question pops up
during an install.

This is probably a little bit verbose and may make translators life
quite hard to keep this fitted on one screen.

Maybe shorten this down by removing the example cases. Something like:

 Normally, popularity contest survey data is reported by sending
 email as root to the popularity contest server. However, 
 in some situations, an alternate mechanism may be needed or
 wished. 
 .
 For that reason, an "HTTP" mechanism is available which is likely to
 work in most situations, since most firewalls aloow HTTP connections.
