[Popcon-developers] Using popcon to give package suggestions

Hello,

I've done it!

http://people.debian.org/~enrico/popsuggest.php

The output is cross-referenced with Debtags to give it more structure.

I'm using a Xapian index with the packages as terms to find entries
similar to a given one, then I use TFIDF scores to give meaningful
results.

Building the Xapian index and aggregated frequency data for this takes
about 30 minutes on gluck. I don't know if it could be a good idea to
plug this after the normal popcon maintenance scripts run.

If you're interested in knowing more or seeing some code, please get in
touch with me.

Ciao,

Enrico
