[Python-modules-team] Bug#474941: /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/rst.el: untollerable slowness of rst.el

Package: python-docutils
Version: 0.4-6
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/rst.el

Dear Maintaners,

After filing a bugreport with a silly misprint in the subject line I am
ready for the main one ;-)

rst mode is unusable for me within emacs >= 22 (at the moment under
22.1.1 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.12.8)). Sample file is available
from
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-exppsy/pymvpa.git;a=blob_plain;f=doc/manual.txt;hb=master

While composing email I mentioned what was different with emacs21 for me
-- flyspell wasn't enabled. After I unload-feature flyspell in 22 --
everything became fast again. (now I am left with reST Fill Dict in
minor mode list).

Also if I turn off Font lock - it gets back to speed (along with
flyspell being loaded).

I am not sure if that is inherent problem of flyspell (it works fine in
other modes) or of rst (which works fine without flyspell), or font
locking in general, so I am attributing this bugreport for now in honor
of rst.el, ie python-docutils. that would be great if you could
reproduce it on your boxes.

Thank you very much if you look at what is actually happening
