While I think (1) should be notably faster, (2) would allow us to
verify it actually works fine to start from scratch (it should, but
well…). I don't have any preference since both have their advantages.

Are we keeping the same suites? The current list is

oldoldstable, oldstable, stable, testing, unstable, experimental,
oldoldstable-proposed-updates, oldstable-proposed-updates,
stable-proposed-updates, testing-proposed-updates,
oldoldstable-updates, oldstable-updates, stable-updates,
wheezy-backports, jessie-backports, squeeze-lts

I didn't follow if anything new appeared in the meantime.
