Aehm, I do not know if there is a change for devfs,
but the permission of a symbolic link is - as far as I know -
always 777 (lrwxrwxrwx). When you try to change the permission
of a symbolic link then the permission of the linked file is
changed. This is at least what happens with ext2 filesystem.
