I guess you mean an OCR program for Linux. GOCR
(http://jocr.sourceforge.net -- the 'j' in the URL is not a typo) comes
to mind. This site has also links to a few other projects. Regarding
commercial software, you might look to http://www.vividata.com . But
their program can be quite expensive.
